Frequently asked questions

Is Guesthouse@ Bukit Bintang really one of the cheapest hostels in Bukit Bintang?+

Yes — we're consistently one of the most affordable places to stay in the Bukit Bintang district, and among a very small number of hostels in the area that also has a rooftop. Prices are lowest for shared dorms; private bunks, queen and family rooms are also available.

Does the hostel have a rooftop?+

Yes. We have an open-air rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Kuala Lumpur skyline — a rare amenity among budget hostels in Bukit Bintang.

How close is the hostel to Bukit Bintang MRT and to Pavilion, KLCC and the Petronas Towers?+

The Bukit Bintang MRT is about 50 metres away. Pavilion KL, Lot 10 and Sungei Wang are a 2–5 minute walk. Berjaya Times Square is 7 minutes. KLCC Park and the Petronas Twin Towers are roughly a 20-minute walk, or one short train ride.

Is it safe and clean?+

Yes. We run 24-hour CCTV, key-card access to the building, security lockers, first aid and fire safety equipment. Rooms are cleaned daily and are air-conditioned. Quiet hours are 10 PM – 10 AM.

What are the check-in and check-out times?+

Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM — please note there is no late check-in after midnight. Check-out is by 12:00 noon. Reception is staffed from 10:00 to 23:00.

How do I pay? Is there a deposit?+

Payment is made on arrival by cash or Malaysian QR payment (DuitNow QR or Touch 'n Go eWallet). A refundable security deposit of 50 MYR per person is collected in cash on arrival and returned on check-out. Tourism tax of 10 MYR per room per night is not included in the booking price.

Is breakfast included?+

Breakfast is not included, but you are surrounded by food — Jalan Alor street food, Dream Cafe, Restoran Riyadh, Restaurant Soon Teck and dozens of others are within a few minutes' walk.

Do you accept families and children?+

Yes. Children of all ages are welcome, but they must be booked into a private room with a parent or guardian. Children aged 3 and above are charged as adults. Minimum check-in age is 18.

Is there free WiFi?+

Yes — free WiFi is available in all rooms and all common areas, including the rooftop and the shared workspace.

How close is the hostel to TG's Bistro and the viral giant roti tisu?+

About a 2-minute walk. TG's Bistro (8, Tengkat Tong Shin) — the 24-hour mamak that went viral on Xiaohongshu and TikTok for its tower-shaped roti tisu — is one small street behind Jalan Alor, which itself is directly opposite the hostel. Guests often go over for a late-night or breakfast stop and the staff at reception can point you there on the map.

How do I get here from KLIA or Subang airport?+

From KLIA or KLIA2, take the KLIA Ekspres to KL Sentral (~33 minutes), then one MRT stop to Bukit Bintang — we're 50 metres from the exit. From Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (Subang, 22 km away), the easiest options are Grab or a taxi.
